You step straight into the living and sleeping area, a single generous room with a tall window and a blackout curtain. The double bed and the sofa bed sit together without stealing space from one another, and the smart TV is comfortable to watch from either.
The sitting area holds the kitchen corner — not a token pair of rings but a proper hob, a microwave, a sink and a full set of crockery. If you want to eat in, you genuinely can, and in the morning there is a coffee machine, a kettle and a milk frother.
The bathroom is split in two: an outer room with a basin and a built-in washer-dryer, and the bathroom proper with a window and a generous shower. Having a washing machine changes how you pack, especially for a stay of several nights.

The utility vestibule has a basin, a hairdryer and a washer-dryer with detergent provided. The bathroom has a window for ventilation and a large shower with a chromotherapy light, plus a premium toiletry set.
Few rules, all of them stated before you book rather than discovered on arrival.

Arrival
From 15:00, with our welcome on arrival: let us know what time you expect to get here. The online check-in should be completed before you travel. For late arrivals, message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it.
Departure
By 10:00. Luggage can stay in the apartment until midday if you need, by prior arrangement.
Documents
We need them for every guest, adults and children alike. The online check-in is done before you travel, uploading the documents from your phone; the face-to-face identification Italian law requires is done by us in person on arrival day. Guest details are reported to the police within 24 hours.
Pets
Sadly we are not able to accommodate them.
Where it is
Via Calefati is in the Murat district, the nineteenth-century part of the centre laid out on a regular grid. The old town begins three blocks up, the seafront is twelve minutes on foot and the central station sits on the far side of the quarter. Almost everything you need is walkable.
Central Bari is a restricted traffic zone and on-street spaces are scarce. The nearest partner garage is Garage San Pio, via Calefati 304, 280 metres away: open 24 hours, €25 a day.
Before you set off
Getting here
Via Calefati 188 is in the Murat quarter, the nineteenth-century grid at the centre of Bari. The station is about ten minutes away on foot, the airport has a direct train, and anyone arriving by car will find both on-street bays and a garage a few steps away.
By train
Bari Centrale is just over a kilometre away: twelve minutes on foot.
Leaving the station, take via Sparano northwards — it is pedestrianised — for about 650 metres, then turn left into via Calefati. The door is another 380 metres along, at number 188.
Alternatively, taxis wait outside the main exit.
By air
Karol Wojtyła airport is 9 kilometres away, linked to Bari Centrale by the Ferrotramviaria train: fifteen to twenty minutes, €5.30 for a ticket.
Trains run every twenty to forty minutes, from five in the morning until eleven at night. Outside those hours a taxi is the sensible choice, and takes about twenty minutes.
If you come by train you can get off one stop before Centrale, at Quintino Sella: six hundred metres, ten minutes on foot, and you avoid the station forecourt with your luggage.
By car
There are two ways to park nearby: paid on-street bays, or Garage San Pio at via Calefati 304.
The door opens straight onto the street, with no courtyard: to unload your bags you pull into a free bay in front of the building, so it depends on what is available at the time.
For a stay of several days the garage is the easier option: undercover, open around the clock, €25 a day, 280 metres from the door — a three-minute walk. You can reserve a space when you book your stay: just write to us. For a couple of hours, the street bays are more practical.
One tip: it is worth setting the satnav to the garage rather than to number 188. The centre has roadworks and pedestrian stretches that change over time, and this saves circling in search of an open street.
